I’ve always found that Nakd bars tend to be hit or miss.
There are flavours that I really, really love (such as cocoa orange! Yum yum!) and there are others that I’d never want again. (Sorry! 😝)
Despite this, I absolutely adore the brand’s happy, healthy ethos, and I love that they cater for vegans – so when I heard all the hype about their new limited edition Lemon Drizzle bars, I knew I had to give them a try!
Now, I’ve got to admit, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Would they be bland and dry (like drizzle cake sometimes can be) or were they going taste artificial, like children’s sweets or even washing-up liquid?!
Thankfully, to my relief, my fears were completely misplaced – and as I bit into my very first bar, I knew immediately that I’d found my new favourite flavour!
The new Lemon Drizzle Nakd Bars are moist, zesty and bursting with natural lemon flavour. They really do taste like cake too, with the perfect balance of softness and sweetness, combined with a delicious, coconutty texture.
Not only do they taste incredible, these raw fruit and nut bars are also wheat and gluten-free, completely vegan (yay!) and contain a simple list of ingredients which includes dates, raisins, almonds, coconut, cashews and lemon.
If you have a nut allergy then, unfortunately, they’re not for you – but if you’re allergy-free and looking for a healthy, tasty and filling snack that’s vegan and gluten-free, then I couldn’t recommend them more!
The only downside is that they’re a limited edition flavour – Please tell me this isn’t true?!
